Helm (god of guardians) is affiliated with the paladinhood, the same was as Tyr (god of justice) is, but they're all supposedly under the guidance of Torm, god of duty/loyalty/obediance. The githyanki are morons, and they do come from a bizarro world. Anti-paladins are stupid. If you can't see why you're just not thinking hard enough.

I think the sorcerer is the best class(for a person like me), I mean, so you cant learn spells from scrolls? who cares, when you can use them like 5,6 or 7 times without resting! you could pound someone like 7 times with Magic missle + if you are at least lv. 10 you have five missles, and summoning earth, water, and fire elementals, Mmm....., Monster summoning 3... Haste... and.. you get the point, so I don't know why people hate them.

I forgot something, get the girdle of hill giant strength, and the staff of Rynn +3, and the cloak/ring of protection +2, bracers of defence A.C 2, and just in case a potion of frost giant strength + elixr of healing and your probably the strongest fighter/spellcaster in your party... oh.. sorcerers can't use the girdle of hill giant strength, can they? I forgot, anyone know?

Maybe, they should have put the Thay Mage kit in BG2, Evil spell casters get 2 spells per lv and add to that specialisation would make an evil mage better.
Other kit I would see maybe a zentrahim Kight,he could be a normal fighter with a 30% resitance to magics(and priest) cast by anyone of good aliment, +2 bonus to thaco when fighting good align people, Years of devotion to the dark arts have left his heart cold and ruthless so he gains immunity to charm. People who say mage speacialisation, it's not true a Conjuror is a great class you don't need that divination. You by the glasses of indentication and your all set. I am play BG1 to have the best Conjuror in bg2 without cheating his stats are str:11 Dex:17 Con:17 Wis:10 int:19 char:13 So he is gonna be a very powerful mage in BG2! |

Actually a Zhentarim knight would be a pretty spiffy evil-only class. Hard to roleplay, but a good idea. Like the paladin and the ranger get cleric/druid spells, the Zhentarim could get rudimentary mage spells and use them in conjunction with heavy armour, no?

Being rather new at all this, I NEED things simple... I figure the more I play, the better I'll handle dual and multi-classed characters. For now, my least used are multis. I have to live with the NPCs but I try to use their strong suits. Always figure I'll drop my pants instead of armor with a fighter/mage and die in a really embarrassing pose.
Any evaluation techniques for character creation for a novice such as myself??? |

I think the concept of an anti-paladin or a dark paladin sounds great but in theory it would be difficult to implement. By definition an antipaladin should be chaotic evil (opposite of lawful good) but really the class would be more like lawful good because being part of a cohesive group implies order. But an antipaladin operating alone, trying to complete the BG2 quests? Difficult.
Just create a fighter or fighter kit, give him all these innates via Shadowcheater, and voila! Antipaladin. You could even edit the Unholy Reaver to allow him to use it if you wanted to. |

Actualy, I'd like to see a Evil Knight Like in Lodoss War, save all his power was in the evil sword. But I'd see not a anti-Paladin but a Lawful evil Counterpart (Like the Death Knight Soth but not undead and not as powerful). He would be a fighter for his Evil Kingdom fighting with Honor (his honor). The the god I would give this portfolio too would be Iyachtu Xvim (Tryrany and hatred, the godson of Bane). Because Toril lack a strong god of Evil (Save Cyric but that is an other story)

I must say the Bard is the class I used the least. In fact, I never used a bard in any of my parties in both BG & BG II.
