I am still amazed when junk mail ends up in my Inbox... easy enough to block them... but sheese.... what did I do to deserve this email hell???

I signed up with Microsoft... owned by the anti-Christ himself. *sigh*

Seriously...

you do realize that Hotmail is now under lawsuit for failing to guard against SPAM to its clients? I just saw this on the news Monday night. It's about time they cleaned up their act!

I have completely used up my 'blocked sender' allocation on my Hotmail account. I also get ones saying 'Here's the information you asked for' and 'John asked me to tell you...' crap.

Why do I need viagra exactly?

Interesting, then, that neither Lycos Mail nor Yahoo Mail seems to have this problem. Neither does Iwon e-mail or any of the other e-mail companies, for those who are discreet with their online habits.

With Hotmail, you don't have a choice. A day after you sign up, regardless of whether you've used it or not, you're deluged with SPAM, and some of it utterly filthy. Don't tell me Hotmail/MS isn't selling it's lists, and on a daily basis!

I dont know about you but I never ever got that I kind of crap. I have some poxy account which I send mail from sites that you have to join up to their newsletter to gain entrance, thats the nearest thing I get to spam and thats my fault. I dont like the microsoft monopoly syndrome but as regards hotmail I dont get trouble.

hmmm, i never get crap like that in my inbox, are you SURE youre signed up with hotmail? all i get are 3 messages a day from gamespy, some commercial email i agreed to be sent in my rush to get registered for something, forwarded messages from both friends and ppl i dont talk to and not sure i ever have, and personal emails from my friends. i have never seen any of that stuff you just described (okay, the irrelevant offers ive recieved, but thats it!) i think you guys are talking about ICQ, i get a porn site offer about every 5 seconds im online with that! and since im not into porn at all i just ignore it.

LOL there was a post about stuff like this on the Elysium a while back. Someone discovered a sly bit of text in the agreement for hotmail which most people never notice. It's along the lines of:

"Any information you provide to Microsoft becomes the property of Microsoft and the company or its employees may use it at their discretion without consulting you. Blah...blah....blah..."

No joke.

And I get all that crap that people mentioned too. All the sh1t about I;ve been selected to win a holiday, university diplomas ( :hehe I mean who would be dumb enough to send off for one of those? You'd go for a job interview and you'd know crap all about the subject you're supposed to have a degree in. LOL! )
All the junk about offers for books on how to get women to follow you around and be attracted by checmicals u spray on yourself and penis enlargement techniques all for $29.99 and "The info u asked for" sh1t and horny naked teens.
I don't even bother to block sender cos they always come from a different address every time anyway. I don't use my hotmail much anymore either hehe.

Bill Gates will know my true power, and he will bow before the Duke!
