Please don't tell me to switch to Netscape or Opera, I like IE a lot and will not give it up...

Anyway, my trouble... (a gust of irony fill the thread... )
When I click a a link that opens another window the window opens but absolutly nothing happens... I have to copy the link and paste it into the addressbar... which is kind of annoying.

Anyone know what could be happening?

I'm about to install Windows 2000 very soon (when I have time and enough courage) and I guess it will fix then.
Any other ideas?

I had that problem and it was a corruted dll, I was able to restore it. Did you ask for this recently? I remember someone asking the same thing and then letting his thread die.

I'd give more details, but I didn't go to sleep in two days and I'm too tire to do anything right now.

Run adaware and spybotSD. Also, it might be worth looking at any popup blocking software you have installed.
