Actually :

That weren't no offside
That weren't no yellow card
That weren't no red card
and that weren't no penalty.

Justice was done however, and Man Gristleboy popped a howler into the bar .

On the downside though, the manhandling after the final whistle wasn't good sportsmanship from our boys .

I just don't understand ferguson. Doesn't he know that whatever you do, never EVER let a Dutchman take a penaltykick.

This isn't the first penalty van Nistelrooy has missed this season. Maybe Fergie should think of a replacement.

However...

Think of the pressure v.Nistelrooy was under:

The score - 0-0
92nd minute
Playing at home with a crowd of 67,639
Already missed 2 penalties this season

You can't really blame him, even if he is a professional footballer.

I know, but it's just stupid. The goal is so big, and all you gotta do is choose in which corner you'll kick it. If it's hard enough, the goalie can never get his hands to it. Dutch players can't get it straight, when it comes to penalties. Really, this is haunting us ever since Euro 1992, when we lost to Denmark because Van Basten missed a penalty.

It continues in England, Euro 1996, Holland out, because they lost against France after penalties, Worldcup 1998, out in the semi's, after penalties against Brazil, Euro 2000, here in Holland, out in the semi's against italy, after penalties AND Holland also missed two penalties during regulation.

It's hard to keep faith in a bunch of guys who let you down so many times in such an embarrassing way. Everyone can miss a penalty from time to time, but guys like Stam and seedorf don't just miss, they launch the ball in the second ring of the stadium.
