instead of coming in and yelling at us newbies, why notjust make a thread to say what kind of text is not allowed, we were just doingwhat the olderones did, and no one ever told us it was not allowed, i think it was rude and uncalled for, i read the top post, and didnot seeanything saying this was not allowed, so explain why it is not? whatdidwe do that was so wrong? and why did Cloudy nor Z say anything to us? before we really started doing it? as i said, i did cool off some before saying this but am still upset for the way we were told not to do it

qouted from other post
I`ve said it before, I`ll say it again: marquees are non-standard.
Put simply, do *NOT* use them. Ever. If you absolutely must have scrolly text, use an animated .gif

Not sure Stormy. I use marquees in the B-day threads all the time and no has told me otherwise. I think maybe your thread just kinda got outa control with them. Kind of a zone it turned out to be. Dont sweat it, I am sure they will let you know sooner or later.

lol... that wasn't yelling. That was just Lennoncook. He's the cranky HTML master

The thread was probably locked because it was turning into a spam session, Stormy.

Mods don't have to justify or give warning when they lock a post. Don't worry about it.

i am really confused and think maybe i need to take a few dys or weeks off, because i thought that posters had a right to decide what was spam, and all i was doing was seeing what things we could do
which meansno more poems for awhile sorry guys i am so hurt and upseti am crying, bye for a little while til i cool off

Hate to be a ...hmm (insert word here)

But I don't think you are allowed to have threads asking/complaining about why a thread was locked. If you have a problem with a locked thread pm a moderator.

EDIT: Of course I might be wrong (for the first and only time )
EDIT (yes again): Because I have the typing skills of a monkey
EDIT no. 3:
Found it, and i quote the rules and regulations

"Also, if you see a thread/post deleted or closed, DO NOT post a new message asking where the thread/post went or why it was closed. These types of questions can be answered by emailing your webmaster"
