Tragic news whenever someone with so much to live for dies young.

Well, apparently Fred Phelps will be at the funeral. Man, I can't *wait* for him to kick the bucket. His funeral is gonna be great.

Amusing but yeah a little early for it.

I'd wait a minimum of 3 months.

I didn't listen to it (the kids are home and awake ), but she's from the Fred Phelps clan that Illumina mentioned. They are the same ones who were picketing the funerals of servicemen killed in action... and to my knowledge, there is almost no one outside of little Freddie Phelps' personal church that shares his beliefs. So... when the head-whacking starts, I'll join the queue and administer some.

His "personal church" is the only way he really gets away with this stuff. It's comprised mostly of members of his family... some of them have broken away, and he's disowned them. I for one cannot wait until he dies. I'd personally love to see the IRS do a full-scale audit on him, just so he could suffer under it.

This is devastating news - when I found out at work the entire floor (some 50+ people) gathered around the television in shock.

Truly a horrible loss. Only 28.

I find it difficult to see where a "Church" group get's this kind of crap. It's not in keeping with what I've learned at all. To spread hate in the name of a religion is seriously wrong. It's happened way too often over the course of history in a number of different faiths. I can think of two off the top of my head, but in the end it's one of two things, either power hungry individuals manipulating the message or a group (govt or otherwise) of said individuals, they take things out of the greater context and twist it to fit their own prejudices.

That they call themselves a Christian church makes me sick.
