Or which games do you think have/had the best music i.e. what are your favourite games musically? The games can be on any platform from any time. My favourite games musically have been Streets of Rage 2 on the Megadrive/Genesis back in the early 90's then Phantasy Star 4 also on the Megadrive. More recently I loved the soundtrack to Deus Ex. Anyone like the Deus Ex soundtrack?

I might be using these results for a games music archive on my site when I eventually get around to working on it again. This is cos, although there are many sites with music from games, they are usually crap quality or incomplete and you have to chase them around. It would be great to have a place to get music for your all-time favourites to bring back those memories.

I like the BG II music, just when the main menu loads. That's probably specially composed and played for the game.

Other game music I like are Tony Hawk series, Suicidal Tendencies, Powerman 5000, Bad Religion, Floggin Molly, Goldfinger, not specially made for THPS but cool nevertheless.
Also VRock in vice city is very good.

The BG2 music isn't too hard to convert to MP3...someone's probably already done it. If you get Near Infinity you can listen to it through that at any time.

You gotta dig the old-school Winged Warrior games when it comes to music. THat music was so calming, so well-written, so....pretty...and they made three of them. What a great trilogy
