Yes, Ronn - for what the UN decides they have to pay.
But that's the problem, the UN can't settle on a course of action.

If that is what you believe, then you should have waited before acting, knowing you would have to wait for getting paid.

The US will foot the bill for this, but that doesn't mean it's right. Those nations who believe military force is key, but refuse to contribute anything are being hypocritical.
And a nation who acts unilaterally and then asks others to pay the bill is not ?

Moiraine is right on the bill issue guys. If the US acts Unilaterally we should foot the bill...and take reparations straight from the oilfields that we liberate including those assets of French and Soviet origin, I suppose we could sell them their equipment and investments back at a discount out of consideration for their previous status as allies and coalition members

Blackmail and thievery now. What a stance for a government you are asking us to support ... Are you planning to switch to the "Axe of Evil" side ?

Call it what you will, but I do believe that France would owe Germany quite a lot of francs if you want to go that route. It is common practice for victorious combatants to help finace their efforts by making the LOOSER pay. As for French and Soviet Property, if you wanted it, you should help get it back. By not going after it, you leave it there for salvage.

Edit: I think your post actually brings out and helps illuminate Franch and Soviet worries in this matter

Look, if France/Germany/Russia admit that the buildup is important for compliance *and also* ask for four more months, then they have *caused* millions of dollars of expenses to the U.S. They *should* contribute - monetarily or with troops and hardware. It's that simple.

BTW, is this law enforcement in the new millenium? It's wrong to attack the guy, but we know you need the gun pointed at his head to make him be good, so pay a soldier to attend him at every instance.

This absolutely cannot be.

Uh, the world is not in a logic of war, or did I miss something ? Has the UN issued a resolution starting a war while I was not looking ?

Now I don't follow your reasoning. So France and Russia (BTW, Russia has not been 'Soviet Union' for a while ) support the 'peacefully disarmement' cause because .. they want to loot after the war that they do not support ?

Wait for an international agreement before readying for war is also an option, you know.
