I'm not trying to horn in on Willard's territory, but I've got a riddle too.

The poor have me
The rich need me
I am more powerful than God
If you eat me, you die
What am I?

I'm not sure if line 3 is 100% correct, by which I mean the original riddle may have been worded slightly differently. This version still works, assuming the Judeo-Christian idea of God (or Islamic idea of God for that matter).

haha, sorry tis an old one, its nothing,
the way i heard it was,
scorned by the meek and humble-minded,
often by the vain possessed.
heard by the deaf,
seen by the blind.
I give the troubled spirit rest

Wow, that was fast. I guess it was an old one

I like your version felix, but the deaf and blind lines kind of give it away.

What's the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form but fresh?
