Help required with game freezing dialog popup bug

Hi people, I have been happily playing BGIISOA on a network, but we have run into a bit of a snag. We have this problem with a dialog box popping up whenever any key is pressed, to the exclusion of all other actions. We can't move, or anything, because the character dialog box is malfuntioning. This happens when we have finished the quest of the genies and have returned to the city. The NPC's line up to bitch at us when we enter the slums, and then the bug starts. Anyone? Thanks, it absolutely freezes any progress. We have the latest patch installed.

I am sorry to bother you all again, but the problem described above is very annoying, and I am hoping someone may have a suggestion other than "Get stuffed." Thank you

The only thing I can think of is "Get stuffed."

Have you tried looking for a patch for this particular problem? I would suggest looking at Baldurdash. I've never experienced that problem.

Everyone has the same patches installed? Nothing different?

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

Does this problem occur in Single Player as well, or just in MP. it has me confused either way, try a virus-scan (always a good idea in any case) followed by a save game backup (again, always a good idea) and a re-install. if the problem recurs you know you have something serious.

And until today i;ve never heard anyone answer "get stuffed" to a query, from a newbie or otherwise, this is a very friendly forum here.

(yes Mitro i know you werent serious)
