Fortunatly my last save was BEFORE I got the dagger, so no problems.
I got the save early part right, lucky I didn't save often in this instance.
I've also found Shrew Christi now & found a raptor past Brimloch doon.

you ALWAYS will find raptors past brimloch roon...........it is like a dinosour zoo out there!!!
also there is another method to prevent the guy in the rogue's guild from FULLY asking you about the assasin's dagger. when he starts saying the 1st sentence which goes like this:"Rogue, you have an Assasin's Dagger!" or something like dat, quickly exit the guild and the whole area (a.k.a. pawn shop). n dun worry he WILL ask about the dagger again. also, to prevent him from asking you at ALL, when u click on the character wif the dagger, quickly click on something else, like "enter rogue's guild" or "special items" or "guild quest" or something like dat, and once he asks u about the dagger again, do wat i said above (exit the whole pawn shop).

Good advice, LiOnHe@rT. Note that it only works in the unpatched game; in the patched game, you can't do anything once a guildmaster starts a dialogue except listen to it. That has lead to a number of suicide attempts in the wizard's guild in Brimloch Roon...
