I've decided to pick "Nothing" for my wish, but I'd still like to see the genie. But how do you summon him? I brought up the lamp on the "Use" parchment scroll on the interface, but then I realized I had to click on something . . . right? And, if so, what? I clicked on one of my horses that I had handy, but I just mounted him like usual. Then, still on "Use" lamp, I pressed the Enter key, but just went into chat mode. Scrolled to the bottom of the Talk list, saw the word "Lamp," clicked on it, and pressed Enter again, but that just made my character say the word "Lamp" to no one. Checked its detail box for an "Invoke" button or something, but it just had "Cancel" or "Drop." How do you summon this darn genie, anyway? I guess THAT'S my wish.

Gosh, it's been too long -

I think you use it on one of your characters the same way you use a potion.

yes wyvern u r correct--------you HAVE to use the lamp on 1 of ur characters like a potion. oh n dun worry, whoever u use it on, it doesnt affect who gets the wish. juz switch 2 the character that u want 2 be "wished" while the genie is talking (IF u want to wish a character )

Thanks, guys. I did it---had to use it on a party member other than the one who has it, the same way you have one member give a potion to another. Just wanted to see the genie. It was kind of a let-down, since they just used a blue Haleabus. I would've gone with something unique and more genie-like. Oh well.
