spoiler?? waterdhavian ? major issues!!

I need help with this problem i think. I have 3 of the waterdhavian creature items and my last item is the Dryad. when i kill the wizard dude my minions attack the dryad and kill her. I then pick up the hair that she drops and get all items in the room, including the wizards inventory. I use the rock and go back to the teleport room and my minions start attacking the dude next to the portal and lady whats-her-face. Is this normal?? i cant finish the quest like this and i'm freakin out here. do i need a patch or update? or just a new game to play.
this is a serious question.
Please dont flame me on spelling, grammer, names, shoe size etc, etc...

now, on to the question...this is very not normal [img]smile.gif[/img] are you getting the "You are too excited to talk" message?

try unsummoning all of your minions and then talking to Aribeth. hope this helps. [img]smile.gif[/img]

first, i'm thinking this is not normal right?
second, I have unsummoned all of my minions, i have a dire spider and pixie. i'm a lvl 9 wizard. just letting you know.
I have a henchmen and when we walk in the room with the dryad he runs overthere and starts fighting, then wizard dude pops up behind and i fight him with my other 2 minions, after he's dead i can walk around the castle and rest and talk to my minions but if i even try to go to town everyone is hostile towards me. its also single player game. when i'm in town i cant rest or talk to anyone because yes i'm "Too excited" oh yay! i've replayed the fight a few times but still the same outcome.
sorry if'n this be too confusing. and lastly its nice to be here and stuff. thanks.

that sounds like a bug to me...sorry, i think you're going to have to reload from an earlier save

if you dont have an earlier save, just import your character into a new game. you should be able to fly through chapter 1 fairly fast if you just do the main quest...you know exactly where you need to go.

I will try that. I just so happen to have 375 save game files. I dont like to delete just for these reasons.

and war 3 comes out tommorow, i think i'll just take a nap until then, been playing 16 hours straight each day for 3 days straight since i got the game.

Have you been a baaad boy? You playing an evil character? I have gone thru that sections 3 times (dont ask) and neve rhad a problem with anyone attacking the neutral Dryad.

Could this be a faction issue? too many evil choices maybe you become "kill-on-sight" or some-such... maybe choose the path where you DONT kill the wizzy and the dryad..

no no, i am a good character. i turn down all money whenever possible, and i dont steal from homes with people in them, just in case.
i see where the problem started though. on the save/ load game menu it has a picture of where you are at, but on my screen the pictures have turned white after i entered the castle. it also wasnt showing my minions portraits on the game screen, i backtracked about 1.5 hours to a saved game with a picture on it and complted act 1. i'm now on my way to act 3.

Is money all that important for a wizard?

i'm lvl 11 "good" wizard just going to start act 3 and have 76,000 gold and i am still turning down reward money when possible. i'm finding all items that i need, and i cant wear armor or use most weapons bacause i'm a gnome, amd i havent seen anything thats difficult yet, taking it slow and easy though, step by step, not rushing into rooms. please dont flame. not bragging or anything just explaining the situation. I also have a pixie, and a dire tiger and dealan red tiger by my side, so that could be of great use no?

im a gnome wizard too, lvl 17 now...i have about 600k near the end of chapte 3 because there isnt that much for a wizard to spend it on! the only thing ive bought worth mentioning was the greater belt of guiding light...that was like 94k [img]smile.gif[/img]

you have enough money to buy anything you want already

however, yesterday i got bored and went on a shopping spree. i have all the elemental resistance robes hotkeyed for dragon fights, and an inventory page full of items to switch in and out as main equiptment...not that ill ever use them, just to spend some cash [img]tongue.gif[/img]

That rocks!!
i have a bunch of wands that i have found but i dont use wands. are they really any good? i just cast spells, and the best way to clear a room full of locked chests if firballl in the center of room and boom. waste no time at lockpicking, same goes with doors. wizard is fun. except por the lack of weapons one can use at this height, i'm using the ruby crossobow as my main weapon for now.

my next character will be a little taller and someone who can use a lot of the cool weapons.

what act are you in?

does it get any tougher?
