I love Winston Churchill's comment when some American said that Brits should drive on the right side of the road. He said: "No, no, this way, if you are accosted by brigands, your sword arm will be clear."

The problem with bashing Britain is that there aren't any hyper-patriotic Brits on this board to take offense at the remarks and go off in a frothing tizzy. For the most part, you're entirely too reasonable, and admit to the shortcomings of your government. Else I'd unload on the lot of you.
Besides, you've given us Rowan Atkinson, Eddie Izzard and Tony Blair, the three people who can always make me laugh.
