honestly, I know this is going a little out of the way, but IMO there are some people who did not lose their virginity because they chose too, some of us, and yes I am talking about me too, lost it when we were still children and never knew what it was like to be with the right person, we had no choice, I lost mine at the age of 7, and that is really all I am going to say not trying to flame the thread or anything, but it is a fact of life unfortuneatly

My first experience came when I was 23. I had been dating the girl for 4 mos. I still remember every detail of that night, including the exact date. It was very special.

I had opportunities before, but I wasn't ready and I've never regretted waiting. We dated for 4 years and even considered marriage, but we just weren't right for each other.

A few years later, I met a girl that I was interested in marrying. We've been together for 12 years now and she is the only other person I have shared that experience with - and I have no regrets about that decision either.

That's another entire discussion, if I read between the lines properly. It's one thing at an age where you make an adult-like choice. It's another thing when you are preyed upon by someone else. And while I don't know where the dividing line is between "adult-like choice" and "preyed upon", I do know this. Few things can cause Gruhntt (my evil other half) to come out like varmints who prey on children...

anyway, where were we before i lowered the tone of the conversation. erm... oh yeh. still a virgin. so....this poll doesn't really apply to me. as theres no "dammit man quite reminding me i'm a virgin" option on the poll. maybe soon, but not yet.

I was about the same age as Stormy for my first experience, un-like her though my experience was neither sad nor horrible..it was just something I thought was fun at the time...new and exciting...no regrets, no wondering what if....it happened (with an older girl about 4 years older)and I wasn't hurt or sad... Was many many years before the next occurance but thats a different story.

Do I want my kids to start at that age?? no way. My daughter will be 30 and maried for ten years before she looses it.

Edit: Just for clarification the girl was my "babysitter".

BTW, don't feel ashamed of the age and don't be ashamed you did it!

As long as you were both willing, you both enjoyed it, and it was safely practiced, no harm done!

Given the opportunity, I feel I must stress the use of condoms VERY strongly! Pregnancy is the biggest risk of unsafe sex. Girls, make your guys use them! VD is the next risk. I was exposed to VD once. I wore condoms, but got checked anyway and was clean. The test is very painful though. Considering she had a relatively harmless Chlamydia infection anyway, I'd have just as soon got the penicillin shot.

On second thought, I think you should be at least 16 before considering sex. Preferably 17 or 18. It takes a little maturity to handle.
