Anyone play this game before? Its a great game, and I hear there is multiple endings. I got the ending with Meryl dying and me leaving with Otacon. And is there a 2nd one to play?

Are you talking about MGS1? because there's only one ending (that I know of), and the 2nd game follows a deep story line, and if you had a different ending the game wouldnt make too much sense...

MGS 2: Substance is coming out Soon

I am talking about MGS1. My friend had a different ending, so i wanted to know who else had one that was different from mine. And on the CD case, it says there are multiple endings to the game.

Successfully resist the torture for a different ending!!! I forget the details of all the endings, but Meryl survives in more than one of them.

There are two endings to MGS1.
One ending is when Snake submits to the torture. In this ending Meryl dies and Snake escapes with Otacon. If you finish the game this way you can replay it with the stealth suit.

The other ending is the "real" ending. (the ending which leads on to MGS2) If Snake resists the torture Meryl will be alive after you fight Liquid on top of Metal Gear. Otacon will also escape by himself. If you finish the game this way you get the bandana which gives infinite ammo. Also, if you get this ending you will hear a conversation between Revolver Ocelot and the President after the credits have finished.

If you finish the game twice, the third time Snake will be wearing a tuxedo.

MGS2 is also a great game but the characters and storyline are not nearly as good as MGS1. It's still worth playing though.

Bring on MGS3.

When fighting Mantis, you've got to keep him out of your mind by plugging your controller into port 2. And in MGS2, the fake commander keeps telling you to turn the console off. Nervous moments, but pure genius

That thing about the Colonel telling you to turn off the computer really freaked me out at first. I was playing it at 2 in the morning and was half asleep. I thought I had fallen asleep and was dreaming.

I also love the funny conversations on the codec. My favourite is when Snake is talking to Raiden about boxes -

Snake: The cardboard box that you have is ideal for fooling your enemies. It's a very important tool for infiltration missions. I can't begin to count the number of agents whose lives were saved by a cardboard box.
Raiden: You mean everyone's using them?
Snake: Look. I'm not exaggerating when I say the success of your mission hinges on how you use that cardboard box. But in the end, a cardboard box is only made of paper. Handle it with care or it won't be of much use to you. Y'know... I've lost a couple thanks to you.
Raiden: What?
Snake: Nothing... forget it. Treat your cardboard box with care. Take care of the box and it'll take care of you. Don't think of it as just another box. Treat it with love. Don't be rough. Okay?

Classic.
