Good morning, all. We still have our (rapidly melting) inch of snow. Day care is closed, so Galadria had to stay home with Will, who is wildly excited. I, on the other hand, have to work, he said bitterly.

Hi, everybody! After a long period of waiting, I've come back.
How is everybody?

Too cold. I will be later though. A couple of my friends and I are having a snowball fight around 12:00 pm... somewhere around there.

Good mornign all One thing you can say about Washingtonians Theya re consistant....weather it is 1/4 of an inch or 3 feet of snow, they drive just as bad. We are getting a lot of snow today and tomorrow, traffic this mornng was a complete farce.

Attalus Yep I checked out the sword thread you pointed out. It was indeed a deep discussion, I am with you by the way, the recognition was probably due to some mystical energy/sentience of the sword and its having been the one to cut the one ring off his finger...and also Saurons own extra-natural powers. It would not have "Filled him with fear and doubt" if the recognition were just because some Elf wrote, "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries" on the blade ya know?

Morning all. It is still morning isn't it? in Chicago today.

Attalus, it amazed me when I first moved northward (to Potsdam, NY, no less - which has to be somewhere near the end of the Earth) I was amazed to see people just driving along on snow-packed roads. I didn't understand why the trucks used sand instead of salt. Then I moved to a mountaintop in VT. Now, I ROFL everytime I hear how a single flury landed on a street in the south and they shut the city down and called for emergency salt trucks. I bet you see a spike in slip-and-fall case filings too.

Willow, I love ya, but

On BGII last night Lilocar Minsc: "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could dual wield me." Had not heard that one before.

Now, as for that I'm *not* working off I gotta get back to the grind.

Cespenar (singing): I'm just a slave. Slaaaaving away.

I LOVE LILACOR!!! And I hate it when people spell it "Lilarcor." I like the dragon quote. "Well now that you mention it there is something I would like to do. I WANT TO KILL A DRAGON. Right now, No don't look. NOW. Go find a dragon and kill it. Now!" Or "My grandmother said I would never amount to anything more then a butter knife!"
