Great thread Larry!

P.S. Don't forget to throw a pair of pany hose in the trunk of your car or under the seat of your truck (preferably old ones that your woman knows are there lol)! They make great emergency fan/alternator belts! I laughed my ass off at that one but lo & behold, I was with some friends going to a B-B-Q up in the mountains when the alternator belt snapped...out came a pair of old panty hose and we made it the next three miles to the party!

Also, rather than baling wire which won't hold in an emergency...have a wire hanger and a pair of good cutters in your tool box as well...they can actually repair a broken tie rod end until you can get back into civilization. You can get a lot of milage out of a good wire hanger, just don't be doing 75 mph when it breaks LOL! (I sold my 73 Vega with the wire hanger tie rod end repair still there...the buyer knew about it)

Hey Rude Dawg
If you want some I can get some. The prices are different for different sizes. But I can get a few, whats on hand and what size. I can't sell them for a profit but I would ask shipping. That and I am only allowed so many a month. Just because they have caught folks buy a few hundred and then taking them to garage sales and Flea Markets and charging near full prices. But if you want a few let me know and I will see what I can get.

Crap-man, er Craftsman, equipment is made for me. It's disposable! I once went in with a garden hose my brother ran over with the lawn mower. They no longer sold that hose so they had to give me a nicer one that was 10ft longer!
