IC: Legolas

Feeling something touch his cheek, he wakes from his sleep. Still tired, he does not want to open his eyes just yet. But the memories of the past day, most disguised as fading shards of dream, and the fact that he is lying in a bed instead of out in the woods prevent him from returning to the darkness of sleep.
As he slowly opens his eyes he is surprised by the light comming in through the single window. He'd slept through a good deal of the morning. The thouhht quickly flees his mind though, as he sees Sorsha lying beside him, watching him wake. The elf smiles at her, simply pleased to see her.

He pulls his arms from under the blanket and stretches as best he can in the sturdy wooden bed.

"Morning," he sais in a soft voice. "How are you feeling today?"

IC- Skye blinked at the elderly looking man. "I guess that means you don't know who I am then." she gave a small sigh. "Could you tell me where I am then, at least? And, uh, what," she pointed behind him, "was that large explosion? Everyone all right?"

“Such generosity! Never have I had a benefactress who provided me with such lavish materials with which to practice my art!”

“Agreed, my friend. How she manages to procure such rarities is indeed beyond me.”

“I have heard ..... rumors .....”

“Shut up, fool! They are rumors and nothing more, the mere wagging of spiteful tongues and narrow minds. And what would the Lady think to here you repeating such prattled nonsense?”

“I .... I meant no offense ....”

“I am sure you did not, friend. But keeping a more careful watch over your tongue in such delicate matters would serve you well.”

“Yes, you are right. Especially after so generous a gift as we have just received.”

“Indeed! What crafter in wood does not long to try his art upon so perfect a material as Ebonwood? And to think she has made us the offer of an entire tree! Why I will gladly produce whatever she may desire.”

“Aye, my friend, as would I.”

Cora and Tobias

“Well, they were certainly quite pleased by whatever it was you told them.”

“Hmmmm. Yes, I suppose they were at that. It was a simple conversation really about possible directions for their artistic creativity,” she runs her hand slowly along his back moving downward from between his shoulders to stop at his waist.

This unexpected warmth from her is disconcerting. He had not expected that her feelings for him were still so strong or that she would prove so weak. “Simple or not, you seem to have inspired them considerably.”

“A pity I could never inspire you in the same way,” she frowns. “But let us not dwell in the past,” she says softly, the smile returning to her face, “when so much is possible for today.”

First the surprising smile from the strange and quiet Ullalume and now this. Possibilities indeed!

“Walk with me into the grounds. I promised the artists a tree of no small quality and I would have you help me to select it.”

Raymond

He was hurt to see that he could do nothing to comfort Isaura...whereas he used to be the crutch she leaned on...or he her...or both...well, he knew what he meant. He bowed low, and excused himself from his love's presence and walked a short distance before realizing that the sun would be setting soon. Everybody had been so busy making travelling plans and gathering supplies that the time had slipped away unnoticed. Turning back around, and seeing Galadria heading toward Isaura to speak with her...Raymond ran up to get to her first.

"Lady Galadria, Ma'am...the sun is low in the sky. I would suggest that we sleep tonight to make ready for the long walk on the morrow. If you will be needing me, I can hear you if you call. I will be in that direction..."(Raymond points to the East, where there are some large oaks by the wayside.) "Oh...and thank you for trusting me...since I know how paladins feel about my kind. I will always be in your service...for righteousness."

Raymond bows in politeness to excuse himself and trots over to his resting spot. He was hoping to hear the howls of a particular friend sing him to sleep tonight.

(smiles) "Thanks are unnecessary when all I did was my plain duty. What do you mean about paladins and 'your kind?' My oath that I took in front of Helm's holy altar was to protect the weak and innocent, uphold the good, punish the wicked, keep my oaths, and never to tell a lie. Not a word about shapeshifters. I don't suppose that you noticed the good Sir Blandamour cast 'detect evil' the first time that we met you. He does it quite unobtrusively. Since he made no signa and seems to have no objections to your company, I have no difficulties either. Try not to project your doubts about yourself upon others and call it dislike, young man. You will spare yourself many a heartache, and find friends when you least expect it."

Her cheeks burn with embarassment as she catches herself once again beaming with uncontrollable delight ~ "I'm fine." ~ Lying through your teeth... but with him beside you, anything is possible... ~ The light in her eyes dances as she continues softly ~ "It's a new day, Legolas..." ~ Was that a tinge of regret in her voice? ~ "I suppose we ought to get going... find that elusive sister of mine, and then..." ~ Struggles hard to contain the excitement in her heart ~ "...we'll be free... leading a carefree life." ~ With an effort, she pushes herself into a seated position and extends her left hand to touch his nose with her forefinger.

"Arise... sleepyhead." ~ She blushes again, before looking away.

Isaura

The mixed emotions churn inside as she watches Raymond trot off into the distance. Her right arm reaches out cautiously, before resting lightly on Galadria's left shoulder ~ "I'm sorry for interrupting your conversation, my lady." ~ Facing the paladin with a woeful expression ~ "I didn't mean to... it's just that everything seems to be so confusing... and I don't know where to begin." ~ She bites her lips, breathing as deeply as she can and closing her eyes ~ Stop troubling others with your pathetic whining. ~ Odd; where had she heard this before? ~ On reopening them, she finds the others packing up with cheery countenances. At least, relative to hers.

What a peculiar group of people these are... looking forward to adventure, bloodshed and possibly death. ~ Then shudders involuntarily ~ And I'm going to be joining them! ~ Her jaw muscles twitch perceptibly and she turns away to avoid Galadria's stare.

"I guess we're off tomorrow, then." ~ Her fingers play nervously with the knot on her robe.
