I just finished the game, and despite the fact that I very much wanted to enjoy it, and tried to enjoy it...I just couldn't.

It wasn't the bugs (though they were very annoying). I have played buggy games before, and still enjoyed them.

For me, a game can be successful by being challenging, or absorbing, or novel, but it MUST above all else be entertaining! W+W was mostly just annoying. It did not seem designed to be enjoyed.

Creating a whole party and nurturing them is a very good thing, but all the fun was drainned away by annoying level-ups. Sure, your character goes up, but you can't train her to the next level of *blank* because you are stuck in a dungeon somewhere. 1hp, 1attribute...enough said. And "i'm sorry, you can't be an assassin, because you are no longer a rogue...you could turn your warlock into a ninja and make her an assassin"...annoying.

NPCs...so many others have ranted, I'm not going to bother, except to say: didn't the makers think that just maybe the majority of the party was going to be in the warrior's guild, and might all want the same quest, and furthermore might not want to sit through the same speech over and over (it's not like your whole party was listening the first time).

Getting from one map to the next, and back again. How many times must I go through the bloody dragon caves. Couldn't I just teleport to multiple cities? God forbid you should do Call of Home, and end-up on the wrong side of a closed door.

Why bother having super elite roles, if you never get to use them? Assuming you figure out how to become a Zenmaster or Valkyrie (since noone tells you), you can only do it once you have gotten into Cet's pyramid. At which point, you can be like me and have already talked to Kerah and be unable to return to town to train, or you can leave and return just in time to fight the final battle, where your new abilities essentially count for naught! Annoying!

Well, this is too long already, but please don't let the games makers think that shoddy products like this are acceptable just because of the name.

I share your opinion in some points of view. you HAVE to walk alot and I also wished threre would be a "Call of home* spell where you could wish which town you want to visit. Also I agree with you that you become Zenmaster much too late in the game, but I suppose that there will be a W&W II or at least I hope so.BUT.....the game gave me a lot of pleasure and many hours of entertainment. I for myself did't like Diablo II where you had to beat milions
of monsters and after that stupid kind of saving they all appeared again. We all have different tastes and there are a lot of different games on the market, so try another one.
