I have fond memories of watching Paul Bosch and Houston Wrestling years ago with my father... Those were the days... Coming home blasted and crashing on the floor chatting with pops...

It is a money making entertainment machine that connects with a lot of people... God Bless America...
Same exact thing here, well beside the Houston wrestling thing, hehe.

personally, i think that it's no longer a joke when they start slicing themselves with razor blades just to make the "action" seem real or more interesting ESPECIALLY when it's the bloody ref that gives them the blade (does noone else see anything wrong here when this kind of behaviour is aimed at kids?)

talk about trash (and dangerous) tv.

I personally can find better sources of entertainment than wrestling. I agree that the acting is exaggerated, to the point of being ludicrous.

I would prefer wrestling to, say, Star Wars anytime. At least wrestling is funny. Star Wars isn't.

I can undertand why people wouldnt like it. It does get a bit ridulous at times.

Remember the Undertaker and his "minions of darkness" crap going on? Wow that was boring and ludicrous.

But then never seem to find the intresting plots. DX vs The Nation. That was awsome.

Ken Shamrock vs Dan Severne, that was awsome too.

any of you guys remember when DX dressed up as those other people?

X-Pac (doing Ken Shamrock): AHHHHH!!!!!

Triple H (doing The Rock): The rock thinks kenny should lay off the decafe..

ROFL!!!

That was one of the all time funnyest things ever.

And then you had WCW, witch for most of the time sucked really. But it did have that small period of time it was good. When Piper was there, him a Ric Flair got all wound up over each other..Hehe, that was really fun to watch.

WWF / WCW used to be on TV here for a while and I occasionally used to tune in for a laugh. However, there was one wrestler who imho made it seem real - Chris Benoit.

Well since this is a wrestling thread... Davey Boy Smith A.K.A. The british bulldog has died of a heart attack. He was still pretty young but roids probably shortened his lifespan.

Sad. Owen Hart also died of an accident a couple years back. And I've also heard from somewhere that the average life expectancy of a Sumo is about 40-plus.

But to turn to lighter things (while still talking about wrestling, of course), here's a picture of a wrestler I drew. It's 'the me of my dreams', if you get what I mean . Tell me what you think!

Ah yes, Chris Benoit, The Rabid Wolverine, one of my favorite wrestlers. He's been injured lately, but he should be making a come back soon!

And LennonCook, I mean like people who say it's fake, that they don't even hit each other, that they don't really get hurt. That's the ignorance. If they don't really hit each other, tell me how they get injured so often. Granted, they go with the blow to lessen the impact so that they can still be concious to wrestle, but they get hurt. The only time it doesn't hit is when the guy recieving moves before it gets there, which does happen sometimes.

Heh, I always rant when it comes to wrestling.
