I know this is a bit off-topic but i just downloaded a download acelerator (for free) of this site.

Yeah I've been using it for months. It doesn't actually seem to speed up all downloads and those that it does never by 300%. Maybe by 50% at the most. The good thing is that it allows u to resume interupted downloads which is very useful.
