I just used a combination of cloud kill and magic missiles my sorcerer at level 11 took him single handed while the rest of the party stood back and watched how it 'should' be done. He didn't get injured atall

Dragons are very tough. I suggest waiting until you are at a high level (perhaps when you come back from the Underdark) and then whack them away. Abi Dalzim's Horror Wilting (?) is a very useful spell. I killed Adalon that way...

You can take him out at any level with traps. A lot of people seem to think traps are a cheezy way to kill dragons because its so easy. I personally go with the philosophy of use whatever works and traps work best.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I believe I'll have to pay the Dragon a visit in the not too distant future. I think, however, someone (somewhere) mentioned that killing a dragon with traps reduces/eliminates exp pts. Can anyone confirm this?

The statue's arms are witing for something linked with romance and vampires.
