Haha! finally A joke I get!

because I love Timber Loftis so well I'll offer up my own (heard it from the lawyer teaching my business law class) lawyer joke.

A cruise ship in the South Pacific sank during a violent storm. The next morning the survivors huddled together, clinging to the floating debris. Suddenly the ship's captain noticed an island off in the distance. The ocean current began to draw them closer to the island and they began to believe that they would survive.

One of the passengers noticed that a huge school of sharks was between them and the island. The captain said "I'll try to make it to shore. It's my duty." "No." a minister said "God is with me. I'll try for shore.". "I was a swimmer in college." a lawyer stated. With that the lawyer swam towards the shore with a powerful stroke. It looked like the sharks wouldn't notice the lawyer. He was over half the distance to the island when the sharks all began to swim toward him. The other survivors looked on in horror as the sharks caught up to the lawyer and he was engulfed in fins and foaming water. The water suddenly cleared and the lawyer could be clearly seen, swimming strongly to the shore, escorted by a phalanx of sharks. "It's a miracle!" the minister exclaimed. "No" the captain replied. "It's just professional courtesy."
