What a fanatastic time to make it back to the ironworks. OK it wasn't pretty, but beating the worlds No1 is an achievement whatever the day of the week - it almost makes up for the Lions tour. Hi Memnoch

Gee, look who crawled out of the woodwork - I am just surprised your pal Donut didn't beat you to it. Don't worry, that minor dent to Antipodean pride is nothing that a good Australia 2 France 0 scoreline tonight won't fix .

Arrgghh, damn - WAS THAT, or was that not a foul on Aloisi - should have been a penalty to OZ in the last minute of extra time - just have to settle for the 1-1 draw then

Magnificent display of kicking there from the Pommies, Staralfur. For a minute there I thought I was watching Tottenham Hotspurs vs. Wallabies - then I realized that the goals were actually going through, so it couldn't have been the Spurs.

I suspected it before, but now I know - Jonny Wilkinson is secretly playing for a contract for Manchester United. They need someone to partner van Nistelrooy at the moment!!!

If he doesn't make in in the Premier League, I know a great AFL team called the Sydney Swans that would love to have him.

Well played to England, but we won the try-scoring battle, anyway!!!

That definitely should have been a penalty to Aloisi.

Kevin Muscat's tackle on Dugarry was very poor and Dugarry will now need a knee reconstruction after doing his cruciate. The way he went on with it afterwards was disgraceful, too. I can just hear David Dein (Arsenal chairman) saying to FIFA: "I told you so" (about these friendlies in the middle of the season).

Great result though!

*Typical Dutch response*
As if receiving a penalty equals a good opportunity to make a goal...

Gee Grojlach - Mark Viduka versus the mistake ridden Fabian Barthez - draw assured, good chance of a win - what's the problem. I have no qualms if the penalty isn't scored, it was the fact it wasn't awarded that I thought was crap. From a metre behind, in the penalty area, ball out in front, both hands in the back, push over the striker, not even a remote attempt at making contact with the ball - why no whistle?????

Oh well, next week is the first important game - qualification for the world cup is what we want to see. Umm , how are the Dutch going on that score by the way?
