ok see this is the problem i just switched from playing BGII to neverwinter Nights..and the question is pretty simple but is it better to have a lower AC or a higer ONE??

Same goes for saving throws and attack bonus; the higher, the better.

Argh I hate [img]graemlins/madhell.gif[/img] this 3rd edition rules....so darn confusing....well i'll say this if the next set o rules flips back to the 2nd type then...i'm gonna FREAK!!!!

I think it's more confusing that the lower the armor class the harder you are to hit, same for the saves. I think low==bad so that's confusing

Yep, much less confusing, I played 2nd edition for 3 years and never understood the THAC0... always let the DM tell me if I had hit... [img]smile.gif[/img] but I understood 3rd edition in one day and thought... why didn't they do this earlier... [img]smile.gif[/img]

i think that they did have that for the 1st set of rules didn't they...i'm most likely wrong but hey i doubt anyones mind goes that far.....but i'm positive that they had that before just like the third edition rules.

I agree, took me a little while to get used to 3E ac but much simpler.

I'm still trying to adjust to the 3rd Edition rules too! I'm an old timer that remembers playing the original (1st ed?) rules with pen and paper back in the 80's! Yikes!
