In reply to Yorick and Slackerboy . . . and any others that wonder.

Let's see, what have I been up to? For one, I've been trying to find a decent game to play. I tried the Wizardry 8 demo and then couldn't commit myself to forking over the $50 for the full version (sorry Saz -- maybe I'll regret my decision later). I bought Operation Flashpoint and spent a few weeks playing commando. That made me realize that Fantasy/RPG is where my heart is. I downloaded The Darkest Day and was disappointed that there wasn't very much on-line help. The common reply was "A walkthrough would spoil the experience." After wandering aimlessly for a while, I just got frustrated. I might go back to it though. Then I bought The Wheel of Time. It's a pretty cool book -- probably more fun since I had just read Jordan's Heart of Winter (oh yeah, I took up reading for the Holidays -- Lord of the Rings, and the Jordan book). I was having fun with The Wheel of Time game, but it gets buggy and I realize that if I play a fast paced first person shooter, I get dizzy, have headaches, and feel nauseated. So I put that on hold too.

My life has changed a bit too. My wife is going back to college and so my schedule is much more centered around the kids. At school, things are pretty much the same. I'm not overwhelmed. I suppose I have time to neglect my work and surf the forum, but I get so much stuff done now. I hate to say it, but it's nice not having a million things to catch up on.

Today it's snowing (7") and so school got cancelled.

BTW, I've thought of you guys a lot. I tried downloading Yorick's songs off of Stealthy's sight, but couldn't get it to work. I thought of Ziroc when my son and I were watching Transformers -- yes, it's still on TV in my area. I thought of Cloudy when we started planning our summer vacation -- headed through New York. And I've thought of others too. Azure Wolf and Reeka managed to catch me lurking on MSN Messenger and it was nice to have a social chat.

I'll try not to be such a stranger and check in once in a while. What a surprise that my signature still works -- Thanks Ziroc

I had thought of an addition to the "How Ziroc got his name" thread, but a quick search couldn't find the thread.

Thanks for the compliment .
