I just checked the score and it's Australia well in control of the first Ashes Test at 1-268 with the hapless England bowlers being flayed to all parts of the Gabba ground. Hayden 126 not out and Ponting 101 not out. Run rate of 4 and a half an over. And it's just after tea on the first day.
Old Nasser must be regretting the decision to send the Aussies in to bat on a good batting wicket in sunny conditions - what a GOOSE!!!! With the union Test against the All Blacks and the league test against the Kiwis coming up on Saturday it looks like it's going to be one of those delightful English sporting weekends - I might check www.guardian.com for the post-mortem on Monday... Its up to 1- 296 now and Im reaaally lookin forward for us to win the ashes ... and if we keep playing like this Im pretty sure we'll get em ..
I still cant beleive they dropped Mark Waugh from the team Even if his batting isnt up to scratch I reckon his fantastic catching should still be good enough for a spot .... ahh well |

Just got up to find out what I expected to have happened has happened, but worse. I'm very glad I didn't get up at 6am to watch the last hours play, it looks like it was carnage.
