I absolutly love this weather here in Houston...

I work outside everyday... Usually in the middle of nowhere with no shade to be found...

Over 100 all week so far, and high humidity also... What's to hate about this weather...

But, I would never exchange this for the yankee winters... Done that, and don't miss it...

I pray for rain on the weekends, so I do not have to do anything but sit in the ac and relax... Let all of the office jockeys enjoy the weekend heat...

I hate the heat. Around Christmas we had a week where it was over 40 every day, humidity very high. Only thing to do was be inside in the air conditioning - the pool was much too warm. I had to put up an old flyscreen in my bedroom doorway so Tuppence couldn't escape in the night lol; it was too hot with the door shut. Mum and I tried to walk our dog after dinner a couple of nights, when the sun had gone down, but you walked outside the door and the heat hit us like a wall.

Hot today, but not too bad, maybe 82. I am now sitting in the computer room, with the A/c on abd the ceiling fan going, but I'm getting ready to go to the grocery store, so I'll have to get out in it. When it really gets hot, I change from martinis to gin and tonics.

Hmmm all you people work indoors right? Tough walk to the car? LOL Beating the heat means rolling the tools out at 6 am. That would be outside. When the fireball comes up its gonna be hot! When the crane comes (like yesterday) it means your there till its done. Like 11 1/2 hours in the code-red ozone heat. [img]smile.gif[/img] Code-red means NOTHING if you work outside. Anyone want to come work with me? [img]smile.gif[/img] [img]smile.gif[/img] [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hey Saz, LOVE the new sig. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

We'll do a cook out here! We've got several pools in the complex we're living at right now. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] We need to take advantage before Jo and I start building our house.

This evening, we made Knox Blocks to cool down. They should be ready soon.
