You know who really took K's choice's place in my heart for moody female vocalist music? Portishead. Check them out if you haven't already.

Yeah I know them (even before k's Choice ), but they haven't released anything new in a few years... Still waiting for their new album.

I agree, Portishead is brilliant! Listened to the live album only yesterday, coincidentally. I'm less enthusiastic about K's Choice though - for some reason that singer gets on my nerves...

Well, it gets a little old, and their new album was just more of the same (the reason I kinda lost interest in k's Choice). But Portishead... I saw the live concert they've brought out on CD as well on TV once, and it was very impressive. If people weren't applauding at the beginning and end of each song, none would have suspected they played it live, so beautiful and clear it is...

I fully agree - they are amazing live (saw the concert too )
Beth is such a weird singer - she has such an idiosyncratic voice but I do love the way she sings - very special.
What I dislike about my namesake in K's Choice, nou ja, op zijn plat-hollands: ik kan die kop van dat wijf gewoon niet uitstaan op de een of andere manier

Blam! In één klap alle subtiliteit overboord gooien, who needs tact anyway.
That strange dreadlock-like hairdo she had a few years ago was funny, until half of the girls at my school tried to mimic it, hehe. Now she just seems... bold. Just like during their first album, The Great Subconscious Club.
