I make it to my 500th post . It kinda seems appropriate to take a deep breath and review things at this (semi) momentous point and perhaps jot down a few philosophical observations which may be of interest to fellow members of the IW community........

On the other hand SODDIT!!!!!!

It's been fun, and (generally) laughs all the way and I can genuinely say that I have never regretted joining this community and look forward to my next 500 contributions.

I wondered what I could do to mark the occasion in a fitting manner, and decided that the best way was to share a poem that kind of captures the spirit of carefree escapism which is one of the main pleasures of coming here.

The Land of Counterpane by Robert Louis Stevenson

WHEN I was sick and lay a-bed,
I had two pillows at my head,
And all my toys beside me lay
To keep me happy all the day.

And sometimes for an hour or so
I watched my leaden soldiers go,
With different uniforms and drills,
Among the bed-clothes, through the hills;

And sometimes sent my ships in fleets
All up and down among the sheets;
Or brought my trees and houses out,
And planted cities all about.

I was the giant great and still
That sits upon the pillow-hill,
And sees before him, dale and plain,
The pleasant land of counterpane.

So if in the forest look behind you, because that where the ranger is going to be

The ranger looked at the place out side of the elven town near the river, he looked near the rocks, then they showed the way to....
