I read most topics, except technical looking ones, and often I don't read ones that are obviously recycled jokes, they're usually funny but I find them a bit tedious. Replying is much less frequent these days. Often I can't be bothered, or I go to reply and end up not because I don't need the aggravation that I know some topics cause. Actually I was looking at that posting average topic in the polls section the other day and I must have posted heaps when I first signed up because I'm lucky to get 2 posts a day these days and I worked out my average is like 6

I reply if I can make a comment about the subject. Usually, the title draws me in and I read the replies. If I can add to it, I post, if not, then I won't.

And if johnny decides he wants to make a comment about beer, I often find myself seconding it.

I tend to react more to posts which ask for some kind of assistance to solving a problem, IF I feel I can offer any constructive info that is relevant - helping out is always rewarding and I often learn something new myself in the discussion

I almost never discuss specific philosophical opinions anymore, even if someone asks, because my attitude is more on the "downer" side of things and usually I find people prefer not to hear such talk there's enough stuff to be bummed about without adding to it

I post because i am alone amongst my friends in the really real world. None of them enjoy computers or roleplaying whatsoever. Tsk, ignorant neanderthals. When i feel the need to discuss events in that 'other' real world, i come here.

And you lot are much more interesting.

Who posts is irrelevant. The topic might entice me to read the topic to begin with, but I'll only reply if:

1) I have something to say (no )
2) Somebody else hasn't already made my point.

I prefer topics on technology and current events, but tend to stay away from pure politics. Humour is fun, but I rarely reply to it unless it's become a "group hug" kinda affair.

Who posts is totally irrevelent to me... I usually go for the topics that sound humourous/strange... in the Icewind Dale Sub-Forum I go to all of the topics bar the custom portrait site re-opened one...
I reply if i can say something that is something
Oh yeah... I make a point of welcoming "welcomed new users"... but I don't go to the special threads just to do that
I tend to stay away from threads that have huge numbers of posts (more than a page) unless I have been reading the thread for a while... since there were fewer posts

I only post at that split second where I will definately make an ass of myself. Like now, for instance
