There was a note on the front door..
It read:

Contest!
I, Regin, hereby declare the annual spring contest!
The one who can make up the best reason for why this adoption house is the best, gets a cow!
That's right! A cow!
So what are you waiting for?
Sign up now!

Ok, the best reason would be...............
Aha! The best reason must be because I am the Protector here!
But aside that, it have got to be all the nice people (except Neb), and the great place.

I'd have preferred a chimpanzee, but a cow will do.

It's the best because the children can run about as they wish, learning to handle dangerous objects and do any number of silly things without getting themselves killed.

The librarian nodded to himself..
Yes those were good answers, but they didn't have that little extra!
He decided to add a little line to the post..
*extra sillyness is rewarded!*
There..now he'd just sitback and judge..
Oh and Ex and Legolas, you get another chance to write something so silly it'll make you dizzy

*Pink kidnaps the cow and sends out a ransom note to Regin*

Deliver 6 buckets of swill and some wing polish to the overgrown Gardner's fort by sundown, or the cow gets it!

*starts shuffling around in his boxes looking for swill*
And I was only trying to cheer this place up!*

Well...when you get the cow back Regin...

This adoption house is the best because the children are so friendly and kind and respectful and cheerful and intelligent...er...alright *turns lying mode off*
This adoption house is the best because it is unique!!! Where else do you find the baby sister whirling a sword? Or kids setting off marshmallow bombs? Or elephants trampling the paladins' chambers? uh...nevermind that part... And where else do you find lock-pick-proof diaries, or pegasi, or librarians that make up silly contests that are too hard? Agh...I give up..I think I'll go steal a cow.

I'm so sorry, Regin. Pink's a little temperamental these days, I tried to talk him out of it, but you know how evil flying pigs can be . I think the best thing to do is get the swill and polish and cave in. There's no reasoning with him. *sighs* Here's three buckets of swill to be going on with
