Ok i havent reached the point of changing yet but what benefits does the slayer give to a sorcerer? I have read postings about how he makes warriors all that, does he do the same for a sorcerer?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "how he makes warriors all that," but do you mean that the Slayer turns warriors into lean, mean, extremely effective fighting machines? If so, yes, that's an effect that covers the spectrum of professions. It's an equal opportunity curse.

I wouldnt choose to use the slayer because it starts to effect your health and other stuff! Too many downpoints for one small period of time. Fighters can be better than the slayer.

for an evil mage, the slayer change is very handy

lower rep. won't bother you, and you become a mega beatdown machine for a little while...when it says you start to lose control, you simply change back and drink a potion

i use it if i run out of spells or im just in a tight situation.... and it just looks cool
