Sure, the terrorists doesn't give a damn about the Geneva Convention and we have to, but that's a price we have to pay for being 'the good guys'.
DING DING DING we have a winner! Stratos you just broke the code!!! [/QUOTE]That is pretty much every law out there. At any given time someone, somewhere, is going to ignore a law, from murder to driving to close to the car ahead. Are you both saying that since someone is eventually going to ignore laws that you might as well scrap them, or is it just the laws you feel you will follow? Even murderers get off, and traffic violators will get away without a fine most of the time. Timber will be out of a job, the world would be total chaos.

Rules in WAR? Let's go out and kill people, but only in the way our rules have set-up. War by nature is deadly nasty horrible business, I have said all along it is not something to be entered into lightly, but if it must be entered into, War must be caried out with such extreme violence, so as to make any others think twice about going to war with you again. Look at WWI all the dead, what did the "Civilized world do? Why they made some rules, which lead to WWII! Does anybody thunk that WWII would have been carried out if both sides KNEW Gas would have been used in massive amounts? History tells us NO WAY, the cold war is evidence of that fact, both sides had massive amounts of nukes but did they use them? "Hale NO" Why because it doesn't matter if you win a war but are so devistated(sp?) yourself, you can't follow-up on your victory. All rules in war do is make war more likey, and give justification for those engaging in the war ie: See we are following the "rules" aren't we such good guys!

Now to the point about "all laws are that way" Well of course they are, nobody said they weren't, so tap on your own head.

How does rules make war mor likely? People will find justifications for war regardless of any rules.
