My favourite RPG. Hmm that´s a tough one. Can I mention two? In that case Elder Scrolls Arena and probably Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain... The last one is completely different from regular RPGs. That´s why it has to be one of the favs

For me, the MM series have to be among my favorites. I especially liked MM4-5, which combined two games to make a third with quests that crossed into both worlds.

OF course, W&W is a fave, and I even have to go back to Bard's Tale II: The Destiny Knight. There's one dungeon in there I don't think I ever completed...

For me it would be (in no particular order):

Wizards and Warriors
Ultima 7: The Black Gate
Ultima Underworld
Gothic
Lands of Lore

I am currently inclined to add Divine Divinity to this list, but it is still a bit early yet. I must wait until I finish it first.

I am still waiting to play:

Wizardry 8
Baldur's Gate 2

As far as the "new" games are considered, MM7 is my favorite game. When speaking about the "old" games, then TES Arena was the best in my opinion.

Favorite games... Hmmm....

Wizards and Warriors of course. Arena: The Elder Scrolls. I've never finished Elder Scrolls, but that's because I'm always too busy wandering around whacking things to ever get around to going on the quests that advance the game's plot. Might and Magic VI, which I'm currently replaying after it came up in a discussion on this forum. That's why poor Absinthe has been stranded in Ishad'Na for a while now. An ancient game I have called Disciples of Steel. I don't know why I like the thing, it has a bug that makes it a pain to finish, but I keep replaying it anyway. Damn. Now I'll probably go back and play Disciples of Steel again when I'm done replaying MM6, before going back to my solo character run through W&W. I am never going to get around to Baldur's Gate. It's still in its plastic wrap and I've had it for a year.

Final Fantasy 6
Master of Magic (which is about 70% strategy and 30% RPG. So hard to categorize things these days anyway. I mean geez..what on earth is Diablo? RPG? Single player shooter? Adventure? Dungeon Romp?)
Warlords 3 Darklords Rising (again about 70% strategy and 30% RPG)

These are my favorite games. I find myself playing them over and over and over and I never get tired of them.

I'd forgotten about Masters of Magic! What a fun game, no matter how you play it! 'Tis based off the Civilization engine, for lack of a better word, for those unfamiliar with it.

I do remember a beneficial bug I ran into: for some reason, one of my heroes hit some kind of internal overflow and had something like 117 swords and 84 shields, making him a combat god. Sent him over to Myrror, and he proceeded to clean out nodes of sky drakes in just a couple of rounds without taking so much as a scratch.

I may have to dig that one back up to play again...
