is it better to do all the subquests before going for imoen?

I am wondering wether it is better to do firkagg etc. before going for imoen. The last time i played i just went straight for her and this time i have one nalias quest (taken control of her castle) adn have around £35000 gold and i still have to do the shadow thiefs/bohdis quests. Would i be better doin firkagg and druid grove etc. Before i get imoen back?
Also should i do the lichs and get the ring of #### first? Suggestions?

it depends if you want the xp for Imoen or if you kick her out anyway (I'd do that only if you are evil). Do you have ToB? If so you can earn more XP otherwise so it doesn't matter that much. In SoA only though, when you get Imoen will be crucial for her final stats.

I got tob so it is better to do it all first. Wot about the lichs? i was thinkin it wood b good 2 do the quests first so i cood get good weapons vs unded. Suggestions?

If you want. I prefer the way mentioned above. Actually I roleplay. If I am evil i go to this person ot to the person that i mentioned if i am good

Good weapons to fight Undead are located at:
City Gates
Graveyard
Copper Coronet

I generally leave one or two of the subqests untouched and maybe a dragon or two so Imoen has something to do when she gets back.

What quests I take is very much influenced by the loot I can extract from them.

I nearly always do Trademeet before because it yields so much money as well as some kickass items. I also tend to do the Mae'Var's guild quest before for the money.

After all I do want to tool my party up properly before I go.
