OK, I soloed up to chapter 6. My character is a fighter/mage/thief. I have in each categorie about 2.666 million XP (with XCap removed). Can I go higher than this cause I cannot even cast level 9 spells. And if not, can I go higher in ToB???

BGII:SoA XP Cap without Remover = 2,950,000 There is no limit to the amount of XP you can gain with the XP Cap Remover installed, but at a certian point the game stops adding abilities, spell slots, etc. etc. because it wasn't meant to go that high. If you have BGII:ToB installed as well then there is no need for an XP Cap Remover because it sets the cap at 8,000,000. You may not be able to cast 9th level spells because your mage has an intelligence lower than 18. ------------------ a bunch of long hairs. trux |

OK, I installed ToB, so my cap must be 8 million. But if I'm right
2.666.666 XP * 3 (Fighter/Mage/Thief) = 8.000.000 XP With 2.666.666 XP in Magic, I am only at level 17, so I can't cast level 9 spells. So can I gain more levels? (Fighter: level 18 Thief: level 22 Mage: level 17) |

Nope, thats all folks, but you should have a BUNCH of ToB abilitys since you start getting them when your TOTAL xp=around 3million. If you got all those levels before you installed ToB download the patch...there is some way to get those abilitys you missed...ask around if you cant find out how. I mention this because some of those abilitys include extra high level spell slots which will be useful since you are not that high level a mage. Also, there is a special ToB "godlike" or something XP cap remover, and rules upgrade that will let you advance higher, and thus gain 9th level spells.

This is what happens when XP is split amongst too many places. Keeps you from becoming insanely powerful. This "godlike" xp remover for ToB that Starkiller mentions I have not heard of, but is probably your best bet if you want to continue advancing in levels.

Found the godlike-patch, you can download it from
http://bgate.gamigo.de/ It worked fine for me, now I'm going to solo ToB! |
