It shouldbe made so only mages can use it. It doesn't reflect Beholder rays.
This means mages have a fair chance against fighters ect. Beholders are still fun to take on. ------------------ A Council Member of the Wizards of the Light |

For those who don't like it, remember this:
My Sorceror gave the Cloak to Mazzy Fentan. She went to splat the Elder Orb holding the Hilt of the Equaliser. Because of the cloak, it petrified itself and I lost the hilt. This was so funny, I decided not to reload and continued |

Petrification or disintegration don't only effect the target, but all of their items as well. So, if you petrify an enemy...kiss that loot goodbye.
That is pretty funny m'Lord. I had a similar experience with the Cloak of Mirroring. I (my 16th level Inquisitor) sauntered up to a "Beholder" wearing the Cloak of Mirroring and Ring of Gaxx with Carsomyr in hand, figuring to splat him in a leisurely manner. Before I even reached him, he cast Imprisonment on my sorry ass (no save BTW) and next thing I know, I'm watching that stupid disintegrating hand on a black background. ------------------ My *God* man...would you *please* eat something!? |

Yeah, I had that. Only comes from Elder Orbs tho. Cloak also doesn't affect a Beholder's SLOW ray

I had given all six of my chars. the cloak of mirrors, all six of my chars. 2 rings of Gaxx, each, and all six had on the Red dragon scale armor. I can't even remember what else...I was unstoppable...but i will drop all that stuff in the expansion...(but I will kepp them around, for emergencies!!!)

I never had huge problems with the cloak of mirroring, as in unbalancing the game. Maybe it was because I killed the enemy wizards too quickly, but the enemy wizards tended to target the other characters in the party and not the PC who was wearing the cloak.
