I'm carrying with me a lot of things that I'm not using, but keeping in case I need them later in the game. I'm tired of taking these things with me, it really limits the amount of items I can carry.

I know it's possible to store items in chests and the like, but I'm afraid that the items might disappear someday. Do they?

There's this priest spell, glypse of warding, to set traps on chests;is it ueseful? And do you have to disarm it like a trap if you want to acces it yourself?

Not sure here but in BGII the items didn't disappear when stored in chests and stuff .

Glypse of warding. Never heard of it but it sounds cool .

No need to. I haven't found the spell yet.

It was just a minor mistake. We all make them .

The items will not disappear. I store items in a barrell in Nashkell, in a dresser in a room at the Friendly Arm and in Beregost. Even if people are around when you stash the items, they're still there.

It has also been my experience that you can leave things in chests or drawers and they will be there upon your return. The question that I have to add would be..."Is there a limit to how much a chest/drawer/sack/barrel can hold?" Or can I load a Friendly Arm Inn bedstand with all of the items of the sword coast?

I have not yet found the bottom of any container. I once stored 17 anhkeg heads in that poor farmer near the anhkeg nest's top dresser drawer. Damn, those heads are heavy!

You cans store things in any container you really want to, so long as you don't just drop things on the ground. Good places to do this are at inns or taverns where you stop to rest frequently or to sell items and treasures you've picked up along your journeys. The chests, drawers, barrels and closets will remain untouched and will hold anything you feel that you need to keep for a later time and date. Just don't forget where you stashed your stuff!!
