"Yes I suppose you did here something" came a bemused voice from the shadows "and that sound you just heard was the sound of a crossbow being cocked at your ugly dwarven friend here"
The surprised dwarf spun around with a disgruntled look on his face, only to stop short as he saw the small double winged crossbow pointed right at his stomach. A grinning face rose above it showing an impressive array of fangs on display, and the mans bright blue eyes twinkled in amusement at the sight of the spluttering dwarf. Thick locks of pure grey hair fell down on either side of his face, spread out like a shroud upon his shoulders. His lean muscles along his arms and legs were covered by pitch black leather, overtop a thin mail shirt lay on his chest, the metal dulled and blackened so as not to reflect any light. And draped around his shoulders was a cloak to match the hue of his hair, long and thick. Other than the small crossbow the strange man seemed to be unarmed, without even a simple dagger sheathed at his side. "I would advise you not to move there old chap" said the man "Belly wounds can be very messy if the bolt enters wrong, and I wouldnt want anything to happen to yourself now that we have only just been aquainted" "Who the hell do you think you are??" shrieked the dwarf, his shaking legs belying his fear. "I believe I am the one who is aiming a crossbow bolt at that overgrown gut of yours." stated the man, with a raised eyebrow. "Well that much is obvious," said the robed magess "But what is your purpose here?" "Ah straight to the point," smiled the man "now that's more like it!" Laying the crossbow down on the ground before him, the man went to sit down and as he did so swept a long sheathed sword from behind his back. The coarse wolf fur composing the sheath belied the fact that a obviously arcane blade lay behind it. The man stared up at the group standing around him. "My name is Azurian Greymane and I am of the Wolfguard," he began "I am on a search....... ......and thats why I am to travel with you. The circle has turned and once again must the Wolfguard leave the sanctuary of the temple and travel abroad to find our purpose. I believe the wolf totem has led to you here for a purpose and I will stay until it is reveiled to me." ------------------ "I was born of darkness. My fathers eyes closed before mine opened. OOC: *psst!* AzureWolf, could you incorporate the links from Castle 3 PLUS the link TO Castle 3 in your first post? I'm going to e-mail Memsy tonight to see if he minds if I post this evolving story in it's own thread and I have a slow computer so *thbppt* to Searching for the threads.
Thanks! btw: AWESOME intro, dude! |

(OOC: I think that more info was requested on my character in the other thread, he's a dual-classed human Assasin/Sorcerer(Yes, I know it's an impossible class, but I do not care, it's cool.), levels 6/13, he wears a large red wizard's hat along with his red wizard's robe, none of which are magical but he wears them because they make him look more mage-like, he wears the Bracers of Deflection which can be used to deflect non-magical missile attacks and also protects a bit against all other attacks, his weapons are an Ebony Quarterstaff +2, a dagger +1, various shurikens and throwing daggers, a few poisons and some potions and oils.
Spells: Most of his spells are offensive in nature, he knows no divination spells at all, except for Identify, I'll post a complete list sometime.) |

I don't have a clue how to continue this without a reference of some sort. ------------------ "I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." -Robert McCloskey

Hiram continues to look at the stranger. His brown eyes locked with the stranger even though the weapon was placed upon the ground. There was a time when Hiram would insist upon a fight, but that was 190 years ago. His brown beard flecked with gray does not show the true age of the dwarf, but his wisdom does. “Aye, stranger. Tis a grand belly I carry with me.” “I earned it.
The group listens intently as Azurian Greyman explains his mission to find the sacred doggy biscuit of Benji. They then excuse themselves from the interloper and huddle up. “Blue 32, Blue 32” “On 3” Breanna says and then they all yell “break” Breanna speaks for the group when she says “Welcome, Azurian Greymane” Our missions do intertwine in an interesting manner. We are also quite happy that you aren’t a filthy stinkin peanut butter and jelly smelling elf.” “Oh, did I say that?” “Dammit Hiram, quit with your ventriloquism tricks!!” She then turns Hiram into a newt with a gesture and continues speaking with the newest member of their adventuring party. ------------------ "I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." -Robert McCloskey

"Well, then, for now you may join our company. But threaten my Dwarven friend again and I'll make short work of you." Breanna tosses her head defiantly and her auburn hair shimmers like red-gold in the light. Her aristocratic features, combined with her authoritative posture, brook no response from the newcomer.
"You will be expected to pitch in with the rest of us for provisions and chores. No slackers travel with me. As long as you understand this and mind your manners, you will be welcome. And, if you deem me trustworthy, perhaps you shall tell me of YOUR quest. I would not stand in the way of fate, but fate be hanged if you ever should try anything out of line. Agreed?" "Agreed," rumbled Azure Greymane. Greymane gathered his crossbow, stood and joined the group. Hiram occasionally cast a surly glare in the Wolfguard's direction. Breanna, though unsure of the newcomer, was nevertheless impressed with his demeanor. The company of strangers continued their journey towards their goal which was some leagues away, thus the enormity of the mountains and forest was all the more impressed upon them. If it could be so far, yet they could see it, how large could those mountains be?... Edit: LOL! That actually led right into what I was writing! cool!
