I can't accept the monk quest. When I move the mouse over it, it says that I can accept the quest for 500g. When I click on it, it takes away 500g but my guy doesn't start the quest. Is there something I'm missing here? I took all of his armor and weapons off too. I'm at a loss.

The temple guildmaster will ask you if you are ready to accept this quest after he tells you all about monks. You have to click yes in order to get the quest.

Brdsofprey, it's OK - so many of us have the same problem until get used to listen all those speeches to the very end
 And I would add that you have to wait till every guildmaster/shopkeeper finishes his speech in order to get guild quests (including Role Assention quests) or to ger reward for the quests done. Actually every questgiver in the city later or earlie will ask you whether you agree to perform the task, and quest begins after you says "Yes". Hehe, wait for Sebastio! Don't even start me on Sebastio..... I had 3 characters at the same time take that first quest, it took FOREVER for me to get that quest assigned to everyone!

Jafin, I'll confess: in previous game there were SIX of us getting Sebastio's quest!
 Oh, I must have been crazy - to listen all that over and over again... Just imagine - SIX Sebastio's speeches! But I have seriously considered banning the word/name "Sabastio" from this board! LOL!! If only it were that easy within the game! (I always seem to have 6 characters getting that quest at the same time = Torture!!!) Wyv |
