The monk class is a wonderful addition to BGII, but unfortunately they have no "stronghold" quest. *sigh* I wonder if there will be such a quest in the expansion? Something like founding a dojo or being accepted into an existing dojo and becoming a teacher there would be nice. The long-gone AD&D (pre-2nd edition) had Master of East Wind (et al) and other ranks up to Grand Master (or something like that). Could the quest be earning some sort of high title?

Oh well, I guess all the monks will have to console themselves knowing that they are men of god and not in need of such worldly posessions, and content themselves with the knowledge that they can kill almost anything in one attack.

I've never played a monk but it though the D'arnise castle was their stronghold. I could be wrong though

Well, now. Don't I feel silly? That will teach me to play the game through with a monk first and make baseless accusations second. Oh, well. Everyone is allowed one mistake--this will count as mine.

What other Strongholds are there, please? I've only done the D'Arnise one. It'd be nice to try for a different one...

Don't they get a temple in the Temple District (after doing a quest within the district)?
