Here was my strategy:
Sorceror used Mordenkainen's Sword. (so effective.) A ranger, a fighter and a monk were the front line, all protected with Protections from Acid and Fire. A brand new Halbred of the North for a mere 75000 gp. (Good Gooood weapon!) Some summonings, i.e. Greater Shadow, Monster VII, Undead. (Oh, yeah a resurrection spell to get my monk back!) And now i wonder, why is it that no one ever offers a "resurrection"? When i ask, say, Iselore for healing there is "resurrection" but it cannot ever be selected. And the whole game has been that way. Strange. Lates

you have to have a dead character selected for the resurrection spell to be an alternative. that could be the thing you know.

Is it because I'm a touch insane?
You still can beat the dragon. I think it requires magic weapons to hit it. +2 or +3 I think. If you have a bard, you can use the songs to help against panic, deal more damage, heal, prevent silence, and cast luck on the party. Like I said earlier, lead it to the hunters. They provide a distraction. If you need better weapons, go back to kuldahar. If you find the storekeep's son, he gives you a discount. Also, put the character with the highest charisma in the lead, then talk to the shopkeep. High charisma influences price. The storekeep's son is in the tower on the upper left section of kuldahar. He found Orrick's scrolls, and will sell them to you. Examine the room, and ask the guy to say the magic phrase that you found, and a spirit appears. If you get it to give the guy more items, ask him if he found anything else. Some of his new items are good. [ 02-11-2003, 04:22 PM: Message edited by: LS0158 ] |
