Does anybody know what the deal is with that insanely powerful squirrel in Easthaven? This has been nagging me since I started playing IWD when the game first came out. Is there actually a story behind the critter? Is it the God of Rodents? Or just some joke by the developers?

Why would you want to try and harm a cute little defenseless squirrel? Just because he is Sylvanus' personal pet doesn't mean he's not cute.

They probably didn't want to cross animal protection people, or something like that. You can't harm the children either ( so I played an evil game, once).

Defenseless?! The critter has extremely high damage resistance and seems to be immune to fire and electricity. He may be harmless, but he's far from defenseless. He IS killable though. I never succeeded myself, but I have seen screenshots of people who did it.

So those kids are godly powerful too, huh? I feel a conspiracy-theory taking shape within the crevices of my brain...

I don't know... as I said, I never managed it myself, I only saw some screenshots of someone who did it. I suppose you have the best chance if you level up all the way to 30 in HoW, hope you find some superpowerful weapons along the way, then import your party into a new game and go all-out.

Um, why are you trying to kill the squirrel? Did he single you out for annihilation? Just because he happens to be a little magical doesn't mean he just *has* to die, you know.

Well, I found out that the squirrel was nigh invulnerable when I threw a fireball at the Giant that was stamping on it. When I noticed that the rodent wasn't hurt by the fire, I thought "what the {bleep}", and from there on it was just my curious nature that took over. If I find a puzzle, no matter how pointless, I just have to solve it. It's not that I just go around whacking every innocent rodent with my big twohandsword just for fun, you know.

It is the curse of the Y chromosome. Anyway, I think PETA had a hand in designing the indestructible squirrel.

btw: I did, and he sends his best regards.
