Paladin spells.

I am currently playing a 12th level paladin. The manual says that by this level, I should have one each 2nd and 3rd level spells, but they are not available, just the one first level spell. Am I missing something?

how high is your wisdom? if it's not 11 you can't cast 1st lvl spells, if it's not 12/13/14 you can't cast 2/3/4 lvl spells (spell lvl +10 is required in the needed stat to cast spells)

no problem, items that enhance your wisdom won't give you access to other spells either, it goes off your base wisdom
