Is this a standard item or am I seeing it from a mod? It is a bastard sword that is for sale in Targos in the general store, does a bunch of extra acid damage. Is that supposed to be there in a non-modded, regular game? Or is ti just a mod or HOW item?

IIRC, it deals 1d6 acid. But a mod buffs it up to 3d6 and some other. Before EoU Bastard Sword Rebalancing the bastard swords were OK, but always weaker than other blades available at a given time. Now, they're overpowered. It should appear in teh Jungle Temple, not in the Targos store however. A few merchant mods add some items from teh game to Targos and Kulduhar stores.

The mod, which I am also running, gives this nice blade a whopping 5d6 extra acid damage.
Personally, I am on the hunt for the bastard sword of heroism, which I found on DK2. Apparently, it does 4d10+3 damage (wow!) with a +5 enchantment and keen. Rebalancing, or Unbalancing [img]tongue.gif[/img] ? |

BSoH is random, dependant on some actions you do as is the MGoF. Good luck finding one.
Oh, and the whopping 5d6 acid is nothing compared to 3d6 fire and 3d6 cold with a possibility for 1d6 extra of each. Bastard Sword Unbalancing it is

Mace of the Elements is cool... 1d6 of each acid, cold and fire, +5 enchantment... though it doesn't appear until late in the game. Beat the game like 10 times and the last one was when I first had the mentioned mace...
