OK, my silly question (which I'm asking primarily as a distraction from packing ready to move house next weekend haha).

What are your top 10 favourite songs at the moment?

Mine change frequently, but my current ones are (in no particular order):

Whine & Grine - Prince Buster
Shining Light - Ash
Harlem Shuffle - Bob & Earl
Secret Agents - The Olympics
(I Wanna) Testify - The Parliaments
Autumn Almanac - The Kinks
All Or Nothing - Small Faces
Knock On Wood - Eddie Floyd
Guns Of Navarone - Roland Alphonso & The Skatalites
I'm In The Mood For Ska - Lord Tanamo

Well that's my top 10 for today anyway

I also have a runners-up list:

Yeh Yeh - Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames
Eight Days A Week - The Beatles
Linger On - Prince Buster
Oliver's Army - Elvis Costello
A Town Called Malice - The Jam
Where Did Our Love Go - Diana Ross & The Supremes
Reach Out I'll Be There - Four Tops
007 (Shanty Town) - Desmond Dekker & The Aces
Guns Of Brixton - The Clash
Train To Skaville - The Ethiopians
54-46 Is My Number - Toots & The Maytals
Too Much Too Young - The Specials
Do The Dog - The Specials
Police & Thieves - Junior Murvin
Spanish Bombs - The Clash
In The City - The Jam
The In Crowd - Dobie Gray

Er... OK, I'll stop now. Spent the day sorting my CD collection instead of packing in case you can't tell!

OK, in no particular order:

* Nightwish - The Phantom of the Opera. Yes, it's a cover version of the original from the musical.
* Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss. One of my all-time favorite songs.
* Cruachan - Exiles. Celtic folk meets metal, check out this band if you want to hear something really original.
* Sinister - Storm in my Mind.
* Jimi Hendrix - Fire.
* Metallica - Whiplash. IMO the song that defines what heavy metal music is all about.
* Judas Priest - Burn in Hell. A track off of their first album without Rob Halford, but I don't care; great building up of tension in this song.
* Slayer - Here Comes The Pain. Best song of the 'new-school' Slayer if you ask me.
* Macabre - Jeffrey Dahmer and the Chocolate Factory.
* Sophie Ellis Baxtor - Murder on the Dancefloor. Didn't expect that one, did you? Well, neither did I, but I just like the song, can't help it...
