Hey, I've done something really stupid. As everyone knows (that has played fairly far into the game) you start to accumulate a bunch of junk that is really cool but you don't need it and it's too expensive to sell. So, I started to get into the habit of selling stuff really cheap or just throwing it down any old where. Problem is -- (i feel so stupid) -- I think I threw down Sumner just any old where... and I don't know where. I've checked almost every trader in Vardenfell to see if I sold it for cheap but no go. Does anybody know if there is a way to go back and fix things? (ie like you can go kill Vivec to undo some main quest screw ups)

I'm assuming you mean Sunder (as in Sunder and Keening...) . If so, it is quite a problem as you can kill Vivec to bypass a certain main plot part, needing Sunder isn't it. I'm almost positive you can't finish the game without it... so all I can suggest is that you use the console thingy to cheat yourself in a new Sunder, although never having used cheats I don't know how you'd go about that .

If you are playing PC version you can use the console command to bring that that Sunder. If Xbox version I've no idea.

You cannot finish the game without Sunder. Sunder is mandatory in Dagoth Ur. You'd better get it back by means of console.

just look up morrowind cheats on google and find the code for adding the sunder to your inventory. insert the name for sunder add item where it says name in the code below:
player-> additem "NAME" 1 incidentally, you should only sell your items to ONE merchant (either the scamp or the mud crab) so that you always know where you left stuff. i dont even do the trade, sell, rest, repeat anymore because it takes too long. Instead i sell everything to the mudcrab for 0 septims and keep track of how much value i sold him. then i type in the console: player-> additem "gold_100" 45000 where 45000 would be the value of all the stuff i had just 'given' away. There are trade offs. all the buying and selling of doing it manually gets you alot of points towards your diplomacy skills... using the cheat instead saves you BUNCHES of time (and you can use the money to buy training in speechcraft/etc).
