Now this is just my personal opinion as how I would make a change.
I like to have all spellbooks covered. In your setup, the Psionic spellbook is missing. Also I like to have multiple characters that can cast Soul Shield/Elemental Shield. Your Valkyrie is the only one that can cast Soul Shield. I would do one of three things: 1. Change the Samurai to a Monk. Wizardry is already covered with the Mage. 2. Change the Ninja to a Bard. This will retain the Locks & Traps skill, and Alchemy is already covered with the Ranger. 3. Change the Mage to a Bishop. All will get your second Soul Shield and Psionics spells. The Bard at least gives you most of the key Psionic spells. Or you can keep it the way it is. Regardless, you should have no trouble finishing the game with that party. The above suggestion would make it a little easier though. |

Yes, some psi ability is good, especially for the cure insanity. This spell becomes more important about halfway thru the game.

Consider: you've got 3 characters that can Instant-Kill all by themselves, and another who is likely to eventually be using a weapon with a respectable Kill percentage; don't you want a couple of characters who can cure them when they go insane/turncoat? That's over and above the Psionic school's offensive value.
Assuming that you chose the Felpurr Ninja because you want a second ranged killer (along with Locks), I'd definitely (and you all know how it pains me to say this) swap the Samurai for a Monk. Or do the Mage->Bishop "upgrade". |

Even better, have two characters who can cure insanity. I've had only one character who can cure insanity and had them knocked unconscious. This led to problems. In any event, as previously stated, you should be able to finish with that party. Good luck.
